Edge-to-Edge: A continuous quilt design that covers the entire quilt edge-to-edge at $.02/sq. inch, ($50 minimum).

     --- Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $96 for quilting

Semi-Custom: We offer separate border and corner designs which falls under semi-custom starting at $.03/sq. inch ($50 minimum).

     --- Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144 for quilting

Batting: We carry both an 80/20 Cotton/Poly batting and a Bamboo Blend 50/50 for you to choose from. Some battings can negatively affect how the machine runs, so we tend to stick to ones we know work well with our machine, as well as give you a beautiful final product. If you wish to provide your own batting, it must be of a high quality and come in an unopened package. No pieced or opened batting will be accepted. If you are interested in a batting other than listed (i.e. white, black or different kind entirely) or your quilt is wider than 90" (king size), please let us know beforehand so we can special order it for you. Batting is a separate charge, and is not included in the square inch price. Batting is charged by the linear inch, and we will only use the amount needed for your quilt (smallest side + 6" extra) and charged per inch.

Batting Prices:

-- 80/20 batting: $.34/linear inch (quilt tops up to 88" wide)

-- Bamboo Blend 50/50 batting: $.40/linear inch (quilt tops up to 82" wide)

-- Example: If your quilt top is 60" x 80", I would cut 66" of the batting of your choice

        80/20: 66" x $0.34/in = $22.44 or Bamboo Blend:  66" x $0.40/in = $26.40

Thread & Needle: We stock Aurifil 100% cotton thread as well as Omni 40 weight polyester thread. We generally use a thread color that blends well with the lighter areas of your quilt, but if you have a special request or would like your thread color to stand out, please let us know. We can special order a particular color for you if we don't already have it in stock. We use a new high quality needle with each project we do, ensuring your quilt is getting the best outcome possible.

Thread and needle charge: $7/quilt

Sales Tax: In Washington, we are required to charge sales tax, on all portions of our service (supplies and workmanship). The sales tax rate in Spokane, WA is currently 9% and will be listed on a separate line on your invoice.

Optional Add-ons:

Trimming: If you would like your quilt returned to you trimmed and ready to be bound, this service is available for $10/quilt. Otherwise, it will be returned with the extra backing and batting fabric still attached.  Since you purchased the entire width of batting, all surplus trimmed from the sides of the quilt will be returned to you.

Binding: We also offer binding services, if you would like your quilt fully finished when it is returned to you. For binding, we will machine sew the binding on the front of the quilt and hand sew it to the back. Please make sure to add the appropriate amount of additional fabric for binding separate from your quilt top and backing fabric. We charge $.30/linear inch for sewing the binding to the front of the quilt and hand sewing it on to the back.

**See below to determine how much fabric yardage will be needed for your binding.

     -- Example: Quilt is 60" x 80" after trimming, 60 + 60 + 80 + 80 = 280 inches, 280 x .30 = $84.00 for binding

**How to determine how much yardage you need for binding

Step 1: Find the perimeter of your quilt. Measure each of the four sides and add them together.
Step 2: Add 20 inches to your total.
Step 3: Choose your binding width. We recommend using 2 ½” wide strips.
Step 4: Divide the total length of binding needed for your quilt by 40. This gives you the number of strips (width of fabric) needed to create your binding.
Step 5: Round up to the nearest whole number of strips. Multiply the number of strips by the width of binding you decided in step 3. That will give you the number of inches required to cut the necessary number of binding strips for your quilt.
Step 6: Divide the number determined in step 5 by 36″ to calculate the yardage. Round this number up to the next 1/4 yard increment and you’ll have your total yardage number!

Example:

Step 1: Quilt measures 60" x 80",   60" + 80" + 60" + 80" = 280"

Step 2: 280" + 20" = 300"

Step 3: 2 ½”  binding strips

Step 4: 300" divided by 40" (which is the width of fabric) = 7.5 strips

Step 5: 7.5 rounded up = 8 (width of fabric) strips, 8 X 2.5" = 20"

Step 6: 20" divided by 36" = 0.5555 rounded up you need 3/4  yd. of fabric
